More than 30,000 students have been fascinated as they sat and listened to stories told to them by Intergenerational Storytellers.

Through the storytellers, the students learn to value the contributions our seniors have made to Canadian society. The storytelling program also benefits the senior volunteer storytellers. As noted by a storyteller, “Who needs money to be happy? ... TIGP has reintroduced me to a world of children, a world of happiness, a world of self-worth beyond belief”.

Several schools have enjoyed storytelling festivals which were developed and delivered in partnership with the parents and staff in both the public and separate school boards, community agency staff, professional storytellers from the relative communities, and our own volunteer storytellers and staff.
