Core Partners

The development and implementation of the “Seniors in Cyberspace” program is a collaborative effort between Toronto Intergenerational Partnerships (TIGP) as the lead organization, Community MicroSkills Development Centre, The O’Neill Centre, long-term care facility and Seneca College of Applied Arts and Technology, Gerontology Department.

The combined expertise and strengths of these organizations facilitated the implementation of this unique project which offers institutionalized frail elderly persons opportunity and support in accessing computers and information technology.

The partners of this project have worked together to develop a project that enhances the voluntary sector by making available technology and related supports necessary to meet its needs and strengthen services to the frail elderly land their providers.

Steering Committee Members

Representatives from the core project team, as well as representatives from the community at large (education, seniors and youth) formed the “Seniors in Cyberspace” Steering Committee. They acted as a clearing house, monitoring the progress and making recommendations on the project, as well as assisting in the development of evaluation tools.

Our sincere appreciation is extended to our volunteer Steering Committee Members:
