This program provides hands-on, practical opportunities for Secondary School Students to share their computer knowledge.

Many long-term care facilities welcome the involvement of co-operative education students as Internet Coaches and Program Assistants. This opportunity enables students to explore careers such as Gerontology, Social Work, Nursing, Recreation and Therapy.

Being an Internet Coach is also an excellent way for students to complete the requirements for Secondary School Community Service Diploma Credits.

Students will gain an understanding of the aging process through activities designed to support and encourage social responsibility and volunteerism. On-line Internet Coach training provides students with the tools to become successful in their volunteer position.
