Awards Program

The TIGP Awards Program was established to recognize individual and collective efforts that promote intergenerational harmony and lifelong learning through volunteer spirit and community partnerships in the City of Toronto.

AWARD CATEGORIES INCLUDE: 

  • Community Partnership Award
    Presented to community partners for their dedication to creative and sustaining intergenerational programming.
  • Community Service Award
    Presented to an individual or educational program that has made an outstanding contribution to their community through intergenerational volunteer spirit.
  • Community Capacity Building Award
     Presented to community partners for their exceptional vision and involvement in the development of multiple intergenerational programs that are inclusive of the community as a whole.
  • Volunteer of the Year Award
    Presented to a youth, adult or senior who demonstrates outstanding dedication and commitment to lifelong learning while promoting intergenerational harmony.

Seniors in Cyberspace Awards

  • Volunteer Award
    Presented to a youth or adult Internet Coach who is dedicated to teaching seniors how to access computers and the Internet.
  • Community Award
    Presented to a school or community Seniors in Cyberspace program that provides opportunity and support for community seniors to enrich their knowledge of information technology.

To nominate an individual or organization in the public, private or non-profit sector, please submit a nomination form by mail or fax by March 15th of each year.

AWARD PRESENTATIONS
Awards will be presented at the TIGP Annual General Meeting and Volunteer/Partner Recognition event held in June of each year.
